Digital forensic analyst

Job Description: Portcullis are looking for Digital Forensic Analysts/Investigators at all levels. Knowledge and experience of digital device imaging and investigation experience as well as a good knowledge of the ACPO good practice guide for computer-based electronic evidence is required and a minimum of two years of either commercial forensic or law enforcement experience is required. Experience of the following forensic software packages is required:

• Encase 6.x or better.
• FTK 3.x or better (but use of 2.x and 1.x also important.
• FTK Imager.
• Netanalysis or other forensic internet investigation software.

Ideally experience of at least some of the following would be advantageous for the more senior roles:

• Network investigation skills (possibly including Enterprise versions of FTK/Encase).
• Paraben software (Email examiner, Network email examiner, PDA seizure).
• Access data software (registry viewer, password recovery toolkit).
• Helix
• Talon or other hardware based imaging solutions.

All roles could involve a certain amount of travel which could be to any location worldwide, although, it is likely that most travel would initially be within the United Kingdom. It is expected that all successful candidates would either currently have a SC level security clearance or be prepared to complete it.
